Ernesto Mercado has been in a constant pursuit of musical experiences in his 20 year long career, both with one of Mexico's most promising jazz project (EMQ) and as a composer/producer.

Born in Guadalajara, México, he began studying music after taking a sudden life changing decision: to quit pursuing an engineering career to become a musician. 

​

Since then, he has traveled the world as a touring musician, worked as a producer, played at several award winning musicals, taught hundreds of students, founded his jazz quintet (EMQ) and a music production studio: Naŭ Music Lab
